Dakrya – Monumento

This was a hard CD to review. It reminded me of so many different bands that I think are awesome. The music reminded me very much of Epica, or Nightwish at times. The vocals reminded me of Children of Bodom and Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil. Personally, I am still on the fence as to how I would rate the CD. Things that I liked about the album were the bass stood out more than it does in most music.

The over all sound blended well together. This surprised me because of all the bands this CD reminded me of, though similar, each one has its own sound. So was this CD just a carbon copy of all the other bands? No way, it has a very melodic pleasing sound with awesome bass at times. Beautiful female vocals with some good growling. All combining into a very solid sound, so pick it up and try it out if you like the other bands mentioned above.
